My wife Lena, my daughter Eva and me.
I was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia (the USSR that time) in 1975. At a very young age I moved to Vladivostok, quite a big city in the Russian Far East.
There I have finished a secondary school, high school (with concentration on technical sciences as physic and math) and in 1992 entered the Vladivostok State University of Economics and Services. My specialization was a mix of informatics/business, its official name was “Information systems in Economics”. In 1997 I graduated from the university with a ‘red diploma’ (diploma with honor).
I worked at part time job since high school times; in 1994 I joined my university friend in his recently founded stock brokerage company, where I worked almost 7 years. That time was a period of massive privatization in the former USSR and we took part in that process. I did established custody service, was reliable for joining Russian Trading System, opened field offices all over Russia all and surely traded stocks on organized and non-organized market. In 1998 we opened an office in Ukraine and in 1999 I moved there to take part in Ukrainian privatization.
At the end of 2001 I have got an offer to lead Altima, a Ukrainian web development and graphic design company. My 1st job there was anti-crisis management, since the period of 2000-2001 years was a hard time for Internet related business. I have done it rather successfully and from 2002 I am a co-owner and a managing partner of Altima.
IT is my passion since childhood, I started to write programs on calculators around 10 years of age, when I was 13 my farther bought me my 1st PC. It had 32 Kb RAM, was connected to a TV as a monitor and to a tape-recorder as a storage device. And it had built-in BASIC! A couple years later I saw for the first time IBM PC with VGA display, HDD, FDD and a mouse. It was so impressive for me
I have started to work with IT project as a manager in 1997, we developed a back-office system for the brokerage house where I worked. I played a role of a project manager of that project. The system passed tests of NAUFOR (Russian stock market participant association) successfully and was allowed for use. Then I leaded a project related with the neuro-analysis software for stock-movement prediction. The system was developed, tested and sold to several customers. In Altima since 2001 I have managing mainly Internet projects (corporate web sites, e-commerce projects, online ordering systems, etc).
At the end of summer 2009 I moved to Australia to get MBA degree in Melbourne Business School.
I am married, have 2 children: a little daughter (she was born in 2005) and even younger son (he was born in 2009).
