Second 500 are US online retailers ranked from #501 to #1000 by revenue. They are mid-size businesses with revenue under $20M. The diagram above illustrates that Magento feels quite good on this market:
- Magento has dominant position as an ecommerce platform, used by 64 retailers with $565M combined annual revenue. The next platforms are Yahoo with 30 merchants and NetSuite with 16, so the gap is quite significant
- In addition to that many retailers use Magento as CMS and employ it’s default reviews functionality
Interesting that in first 500 IR list Magento is used by 34 merchants, with solid growth from 13 reported an year before.
